Our village has been called Moyi Mubarak since the second half of the 18th century. It has the densely populated neighborhoods of Ovchi, Kagozgar and Moyi Mubarak, each of which has its own history.

This village is located one mile south of Kokhan city. In the past, this village was famous for having 12 water mills, glass mills, oil mills and paper factories. Now 5.5 thousand people live in the village. Due to the proximity of the village to the city of Kokhan, 80% of the population works in industrial enterprises and institutions of the city of Kokhan.

At the beginning of the last century, this village belonged to Kaynar Volost, Kokan Governorate, and during the union period, Kokan District. The first collective farm (collective farm) in our village has the names "Moyi Mubarak", Shodi Yunus, Engels, M.Gorky, Pakhta gyar, Lenin, and now "Sohibkor" farmers' union. Since 1960, after the dissolution of the Ko'kan district, the village of Ovchi has been administratively part of the "Uzbekistan" district (the center of which is the city of Yaipan). The inhabitants of the village are mainly engaged in cotton growing, farming, cattle breeding, sericulture and horticulture.

During the period of the collective farms, two of our women workers (may God bless them, Risolatoy Ergasheva and Ayshakhan Yoldosheva) were awarded the title of "Hero of Socialist Labor" for their great services in the field of agriculture. Currently, the farmers' association has several farms, 5 general secondary schools, 2 part-time secondary schools, a 50-bed hospital, and a doctor's clinic. All households of the village are supplied with natural drinking (artesian) water, natural gas and electrification. The Big Fergana canal named after U. Yusupov passes through the farmers' union. A powerful pumping station is installed on this canal, which pumps the canal water up to 8 km during dry seasons. This provides the necessary water for agricultural crops and gardens during the spring water shortage. The branch of the district library located in the village provides cultural services. There are also branches of household service enterprises here.
