ANDIJAN REGION
In the 9th century, the city became part of the Samanid state and became one of the main cities of the Ferghana Valley. At this time it was referred to as Andukan. Then, in the XIV century, during the reign of Amir Temur, the city reaches the peak of the development of science, culture and economy. Also, in the Andijan region, the city of Akhsikent, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was born.
